You’ve got questions.

We’ve got answers.

We recognize that questions, concerns, and validations are natural, especially regarding a product like projections. We strive to be transparent and clearly communicate expectations to avoid any misunderstandings or disappointments.

Data Related

We leverage data dating back to 2018, analyzing and tagging it to enhance our projections. Please note that projections are not financial advice and are not guaranteed; they are primarily based on historical averages.

How accurate is this data?

We don’t guarantee accuracy. Commonly, at least one of the HOD, LOD, or Final predictions hits within a few points.  Sometime’s it’s 2 predictors; sometimes it’s none.  Be aware that factors like market makers, unexpected major news, or statements from influential figures can render historical data less effective on certain days.

What does IHL mean?

Inside, High, Low.  It is the confirmed candles relation to the opening range (OR).

As an example, IHH means the day opened (first candle is always Inside), then the 2nd candle finished Higher than OR, and the 3rd candle finished Higher than OR.

How do you get your predictions?

Some might say a special wizard is behind it. In reality, we use data from 2018 to the present and analyze it to categorize days and determine average movements. No magic—just data-driven insights!

What if the data is really wrong?

We take a macro approach and recognize that some days or periods may miss the mark. That’s why ORB Stock Signals doesn’t advise on trades. Instead, we provide projections based on historical averages for you to incorporate into your own strategy as you see fit.

When is the data published?

Every trading day, we provide updates as early as 45 minutes after the market opens, once pricing has settled outside the Opening Range based on the 15-minute candle. Typically, this happens after the 3rd to 5th candle. On choppy days where we don’t break the ORB, our limit is 8 candles; beyond that, we skip the day.

Note: The price may fluctuate above or below the Opening Range, but it must close outside of it for us to consider it.

How far out does this data predict?

This is 0-day data. Our predictions are for today only, based on historical 1-day statistics.

Why hasn't ORB Stock Signal posted yet?

Likely because the price hasn’t been confirmed. This means a 15-minute candle hasn’t yet finished and closed outside the ORB, starting from the 3rd candle.

What tickers are included?

Currently, only SPX.  However, our roadmap will include other popular tickers, such as SPY, QQQ, TSLA and whatever else the community requests a lot.

Is this technical analysis?

Nope, you’ll still need to do your own technical analysis. Our data is based on historical averages from days with similar opening patterns. It’s a valuable tool, but your own analysis is essential.

When should I enter/exit my trades?

That’s on you, amigo. Our data offers projections based on historical data dating back to 2018. Please note, ORB Stock Signal doesn’t provide trading advice or strategies.

Does this only work with ORB 0DTE strategy?

Nope! There are many strategies that use these historical data projections. We cannot and will not advise on which strategies work best with our data. That’s a decision for you to make based on your own approach.

Can I use the SPX data for other tickers?

Your choice!  We only provide SPX projections and do not have any knowledge of correlations to other tickers.  We make no guarantees that this data transfers equally to other tickers.  We always encourage you to perform your own technical analysis before entering / exiting any trades.

Events Related

Events can be cause significant volatility in the market.  Which is why we offer Events-related data to help your technical analysis.  Please note that projections are not financial advice and are not guaranteed; they are primarily based on historical averages.

What type of events are included?

Basic membership does not isolate events data.  For premium, you will get a projection specifically for that day’s events.

Events are:

Economic Reports: CPI, PPI, Consumer Credit, JOLT, Jobs, UNE, NFP, PCE.

Treasury Auctions: 10yr Note, 20yr Bond and 30yr Bond.

FOMC:  FOMC press conference days and Powell speaking days (non-FOMC related)

Earnings:  AAPL, AMZN, GOOG, NVDA, META, TSLA, MSFT.  And we can always add more!

What if there are more than 1 event today?

We typically go with the earlier and then most impactful.  Common multi-event days:

Economic Report (AM) + Treasury Auction (PM).

Economic Report (AM) + FOMC (PM)

Economic Report (AM) + Earnings (Pre-Hours)

Economic Report (AM) + Earnings (Post-Hours)

Earnings (Pre) + Earnings (Post)

How does Event data differ from Basic?

Events data projects only that specific event-type days in the past.

Basic data includes all days that match today’s pattern.  Including any event days with that type.

What projections are included for Events?

The classics.  High, Low and Close of day.

Why does Tomorrow / Yesterday Events data matter?

Sometimes the market is choppy leading up to a specific event: i.e., FOMC.  Or, days after post-hours earnings can have a certain behavior.  It never hurts to have a little more data, so we want to provide that access.
